Made to order custom seating at Lulu and Georgia gives you the ability to specify the fabric, finish, and configuration that fits your room exactly — rather than working around what's in stock. The custom seating program covers sofas, sectionals, accent chairs, and ottomans, each built after order placement with lead times that reflect the craftsmanship involved. The result is a piece made for your space in the material you chose, with the quality standards that distinguish Lulu and Georgia's upholstered furniture across the full collection.
How does the made to order custom seating process work at Lulu and Georgia?
After selecting a frame silhouette, you choose from available upholstery options — fabric, performance fabric, velvet, or leather depending on the piece — and confirm your configuration (standard dimensions, leg finish, cushion fill). Orders are placed and then built to specification, with production lead times communicated at checkout. Because each piece is made after ordering, changes or cancellations are not possible once production begins, so it's worth confirming your selections carefully before placing the order.
What fabric options are available for custom upholstered seating?
Fabric options vary by frame and are presented on each product page. Generally, the program includes performance fabrics designed for durability and easy cleaning — a practical choice for households with children or pets — as well as woven and textured fabrics in natural fibers for rooms where appearance and hand are the priority. Some frames are available in velvet, boucle, and leather. Swatches can be ordered to evaluate color and texture in your home's light before committing.
What is the lead time for made to order custom seating?
Lead times for custom seating at Lulu and Georgia are typically 12 to 16 weeks, though this varies by piece and current production schedules. Exact lead time is displayed on each product page and confirmed at checkout. Because the piece is built to your specifications, it cannot ship earlier and is not available for expedited production. Planning ahead is essential — if you have a firm move-in date or room completion deadline, order with that timeline in mind.
